And the measurements are (the envelope please.....) McKenna Ashlyn Kulakow now ONE YEAR OLD weighing a whopping 20lbs 8 ozs (40% percentile), height 31 1/4" (97% percentile), and head 17 1/4" (15% percentile), reach too long she seems to find an awful lot! Todays posting shows a decent period of time obviously from the last to today; there has been serious development. We are up to about 5-8 words and mixtures of words. She pulled herself up about almost 2 months ago and started walking about 2 days later. She has learned what a sucker is. Let me give an example. After learning that eating dirt from the plant is a bad idea, she learned that mommy and daddy would come to the plant right away if she attempted another feast. When all she was really trying to do was grab a hand inorder to walk around the house. Then she learned that we didn't always go to the plant until she grabbed a leaf (that always got us there). Again, she was doing this only to get a hand to walk around the house. Now you are probably saying that this is just cute, WRONG! When it occurs everyday of almost every minute even when you got to go to work in order to go for a stroll, she has perfected the sucker. The good news is she doesn't want the hand anymore because she is just running and really doesn't care about dirt or hands, aaaaahhhhhhh.

Little MAK has now progress at work. She has been promoted to the toddler room and is truly loving the experience. As you can see a little into the pictures, she is celebrating her first with all her coworkers, nice job mom!

Some of her latest first are going to the Rockies game (for Mason's birthday) and finding out that baseball is really boring if you don't drink, all sorts of new foods, new words, the 4th of July fireworks (with dear friends Owen and Cole) again better with drinks, and her first birthday.

As for her birthday, grandparents and many friends came for the gala affair. She celebrated with typical toddler flair as you can see. We enjoyed great weather birthday cake, BBQ foods, games, keg, and lots of wonderful memories. I think we will need a little time to get her back to earth since all grandparents have been having such a fun time and flooding her with so much attention that we could never sustain such energy. But it has been such a wonderful time with all the grandparents and friends including all the ones who couldn't make it from California to the East Coast. You were all in our hearts. We feel very lucky to have you all in our life!

Off to play with the birthday girl, mom, and grand folk.
