I call this set friends and family.

It was about time that we unleashed the ball of energy named McKenna on the L.A. scene. Fearing the unknown as a puppy chewing its first set of expensive owner work shoes, McKenna touched down in the L.A. sand and was hooked! Unlike the puppy, we just let her go on the rather large beach and sat back basking in the sun as she thrust one little leg into the soft warm sand after another. Knee lift and bend, toe touching the sand followed by her rump. In her world, she was trying to climb Everest each step becoming more and more exhaustive. I tried to keep believing this. However, we had reversed our altitude and she instead of coming down like a thud with each exhaustive exploration into the sand was energized to puppy speed and stamina. It was our first HOUR in L.A. visiting uncle Adam. At the moment, I am sitting at my home desk struggling a little to describe this adventure; let's call it our bipolar moment. You see MAK's first tooth decided after waiting for a really long time to come out for a visit as well. So in a flash, you would see a huge smile while playing with doggy Hannah to fever and discomfort. This provided a couple of firsts. First, Hannah was fed really well by MAK (first for MAK feeding a dog). Second, it was our first time that she bled profusely (from her mouth) at a restaurant. Third, it was her first time (sans fear) getting into the ocean (with rather large waves) with dad. And last (at least to speak about) was her first real doggy living with her if only for a couple of days. Thanks uncle for the great time and hospitality!

The other photo's are mostly to provide a glimpse into MAK's growing world. She visited the barber for her first trimming (not enjoyed) to her Second group photo (not enjoyed). And in one lovely day (the day after we returned from L.A.) MAK's day care teacher was let go, she was bitten on the face by a "co-worker", and then fell into a chair leaving a nice gash on her right eye; Rocky would have been proud. So I don't want to leave the impression that this post is only on the negative side, she couldn't get enough pasta into her mouth which is why it looks as if she is wearing a red shirt when in fact she isn't at all.

More measurements are soon to be coming with her 15 month doctor visit in a couple of weeks.

See you later.
